Library Fundraising

We have two fundraising opportunities on the go right now!

The Hudson’s Hope Public Library has an online fundraiser for Sipology that is open until December.  Customers can visit the fundraiser link to choose from a selection of special Sipology items including really great teas and tea accessories. Each order has a low $3.00 flat rate shipping, so that items can be dispatched directly to supporters; no waiting around for a group order to be sent and no local pickup appointments!  Order from anywhere in Canada!

Our annual Purdy’s Christmas Chocolate Fundraiser.  This fundraiser is a local favourite to allow our patrons to order many of their favorite holiday treats and support our library!

The deadline to get Purdy’s orders in is November 19th.  If patrons are unable to place an order online due to lack of online access or barriers with the online payment method, they can contact me for assistance or come in to the library for a paper order form to pay by cash or cheque. All Purdy’s orders come to the library in bulk and customers will be notified when their orders are ready to be picked up, by December 2nd.  Local pickups only for this fundraiser.

We hope that through public support of these fundraisers, we will be able to provide better opportunities for our Children’s programs such as StoryTime, Library Club, Tween Club and Teen Drop-In. Additional funds may support collection development initiatives. Literacy Kits provide opportunities for our early learners to learn educational foundation skills through play.  Cognitive Care Kits are a collaborative project with Northern Health and a number of libraries across BC, including all of the libraries in the North East  and North Central Library Federations.  These kits are now available through the library as a unique and innovative resource for individuals living with dementia and/or other forms of cognitive loss as well as those that support them.
